Getting My Back Fixed Once And For All

After suffering with terrible back pain for years, I knew that I couldn't go on living with the trouble. I was tired of being tired all the time and having trouble getting in and out of bed and cars, so I decided that it was time to meet with a licensed chiropractor. My experience was incredible. The doctor was able to go through, fix my back, and resolve most of my back pain in a single visit. It was incredible to feel the difference after it was over. I want everyone out there to understand the benefits of chiropractic care, which is why I made this blog.

3 Habits That Might Be Contributing To Your Neck Pain

Neck pain is extremely common and is one of the top three types of chronic pain. This particular type of pain can be a result of an accident, trauma, or bad posture, and you might be surprised to find out that some of your habits may actually be causing or contributing to the neck pain you experience each day. Here are three habits you might need to break or change if you truly want to find relief from your neck pain.

The way you hold your cellphone when talking on it

A lot of people multitask because their lives are busy, and one way people do this is by accomplishing tasks while talking on the phone. To free up their hands, people often cradle their cellphones between their ear and shoulder. If you do this often, this act is likely causing you to have neck pain. Each time you do this, you are placing strain on your spine and neck muscles, and this will eventually lead to pain in your neck and back.

The pillow you sleep with

The way you sleep can also be contributing to your neck pain, and this can often simply be due to the pillow you sleep with. Your pillow should be firm and thick enough to support the natural posture of your neck. If the pillow you use causes your neck to prop up higher than it naturally would be, it could be adding to your pain.

The bag you carry around

Finally, you could be experiencing neck pain from the bag you carry around with you. If you carry a purse, backpack, or any type of bag each day, it can lead to back and neck pain, especially if you always carry it on the same side of your body and if the bag is heavy.

Each time you carry a bag like this around, it can cause your spine to curve in a way that is not natural. This will affect the way your muscles work, and this will lead to pain. To avoid this, alternatate the side in which you carry the bag, or place the bag on your back if possible.

These are three common habits that may be causing the neck pain you are feeling. If you can change these things, your pain level might decrease. You can also find relief for neck and back pain by visiting a chiropractor in your area today.
