Getting My Back Fixed Once And For All

After suffering with terrible back pain for years, I knew that I couldn't go on living with the trouble. I was tired of being tired all the time and having trouble getting in and out of bed and cars, so I decided that it was time to meet with a licensed chiropractor. My experience was incredible. The doctor was able to go through, fix my back, and resolve most of my back pain in a single visit. It was incredible to feel the difference after it was over. I want everyone out there to understand the benefits of chiropractic care, which is why I made this blog.

3 Tips For Dealing With TMJ

Many individuals today suffer with TMJ. This pain in the jaw often causes a clicking when you open your mouth. Not only can it be quite painful when trying to eat or even talk, but it can be quite annoying hearing it constantly pop. If you are looking at ways to put an end to your TMJ pain, there are a few tips and tricks you can use. Check out three of the different options below.

Chiropractic adjustments.

One of the methods for trying to deal with your TMJ pain is by going in to the chiropractor for an adjustment. TMJ could be the direct result of your upper back and neck not being aligned properly. When that happens, it can cause your joints to shift out of position. Through a chiropractic adjustment, you can put an end to your pain and help realign your neck and back. Chiropractors will also use massage techniques to help alleviate some of the tension in your spine to help relieve the pain that you might be feeling in other parts of your body.

Bite guards.

Often, those who are suffering with pain in their jaw will find relief with a bite guard. This soft device fits firmly over your teeth and prevents you from grinding your teeth together. That added grinding can end up wearing down your teeth and destroying the enamel. By using the bite guard for when you sleep at night, you can make sure your teeth are protected and minimize the amount of pain you are dealing with. You can pick the bite guards up from almost any major retailer or your local pharmacy. Some dentists are willing to give you one as well.

Injections.

Another option for those who are suffering with TMJ is to get Botox injections. These injections are inserted directly into your muscles in the jaw. Once the injection is in place, it helps to alleviate some of the pain that you are dealing with. Essentially, it prevents you from being able to clench down on your teeth, thus minimizing the amount of pain you are going to deal with on a regular basis. The number of injections and frequency of treatment will vary from one person to the next.

While these are only three of the different treatment methods out there, plenty of others exist as well. Discuss your options with your medical provider to come up with a solution that works for you.
